When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster

Chapter 1075: A Happy Man

Chapter 1075: A Happy Man

Adrian Lancaster couldn’t help but grin foolishly as he took the suit jacket off the hanger, eager to put it on immediately.

After changing into the suit and going downstairs, he felt the kind of happiness a poor kid experiences when wearing new clothes for the New Year.

When he appeared at the staircase turn, his presence was no less than that of a top male model, and his good physique was even more accentuated by the suit.

One couldn’t deny that Faye Turner’s craftsmanship and aesthetics were spot on, leaving the maids in the living room stunned by his impeccable handsomeness.

"He’s so handsome, isn’t he?" one maid couldn’t help but exclaim with her hand over her mouth. Although they saw him every day, at this moment, he was undeniably different.

Standing at the door, Faye Turner turned at the sound and saw Adrian Lancaster with his hands in his pockets, stepping down the stairs in the suit she had just made.

His eyes were only on her, and his smile was incredibly gentle.

The suit looked even better worn than it did on the hanger, leaving Faye Turner mesmerized.

After coming downstairs, Adrian Lancaster walked directly to his wife, put his arm around her shoulder, "Let’s go, honey, I’m hungry. Let’s see what delicious food we have for dinner tonight."

With his arm around her, heading towards the dining room, Faye Turner turned to look at him, sizing him up, "It fits well, doesn’t it?"

"Of course! My wife made it!" He lifted his chin slightly, pride in his tone, "Thank you, honey, for the new clothes."

Faye Turner found him a bit childish, but seeing how much he loved the suit, she, as the gift-giver, felt very happy too, "No need to thank me, as long as you like it, I’ll make you one every month."

"I’ll remember that!" It meant she would be by his side every month from now on.

It was dinner time, and four dishes were already set on the table, with the kitchen still bustling.

"I’ll serve the rice, you sit," Adrian Lancaster told his wife, probably a bit hungry.

Then he said to the nearby maid, "No need for you to fuss, just bring some drinks."

"Alright, would you like orange juice or milk? We also have plum juice at home," the maid asked softly.

"Honey, what would you like to drink?" he turned to ask.

"I’ll have milk."

"Okay." Then Adrian Lancaster told the maid, "One glass of milk, one glass of plum juice."

"Sure, please wait a moment." The maid bowed and left.

In no time, someone brought out the freshly stewed soup from the kitchen, as well as a few more dishes, "Sir, Ma’am, dinner is all ready, please enjoy at your leisure."

Adrian Lancaster had just taken his seat at the dining table when a glass of milk and a glass of plum juice were brought over.

As the maid left, she instinctively turned on the sound system, and a piece of classical, gentle music began to float in the air, with the sunset pouring in through the window, enhancing the romantic atmosphere to its fullest.

He asked her, "What gift do you want?"

Faye Turner looked up, not quite understanding what he meant, and he was already filled with emotion, "Any wishes? Something I can help you fulfill?"

"No, just enjoy your meal."

"Is there something special you want to buy? Or... something you really like but can’t get?"

"No, no." Faye Turner placed a shrimp in her bowl, "Can’t you just enjoy this meal with me without thinking about returning a gift?"

"Alright, alright." Adrian Lancaster accompanied her with the meal while steering the conversation elsewhere, "Do you have any thoughts on our daughter’s first birthday party?"

"She really likes pink, can we set the theme in pink tones?"

"Of course we can." He took note, very happy that his wife wanted to plan it together with him; that’s what home feels like.
