Chapter 1061: Boohoo, Such a Blow to My Self-Esteem

Chapter 1061: Boohoo, Such a Blow to My Self-Esteem

After a long time feeling her gaze, Adrian Lancaster turned his eyes, "How was your chat with Rachel Sherman today? Did you feel a bit of memory with her like you did with Dustin Shepherd?"

Faye Turner saw the expectation in his eyes, and she shifted her gaze, looking ahead at the night as they walked together towards the outdoor pool.

"I remembered Dylan Shaw." Faye felt a pang of irritation and sadness mentioning this man, "I can’t believe he would be such a jerk to Rachel."

"That shows Dylan Shaw wasn’t her destined match. If Dylan hadn’t been a jerk, Rachel wouldn’t have met Chase Fletcher." Adrian gave a faint smile, "Life, whether it’s the first marriage or the second, sometimes it’s destiny. As long as the ending is good, a bit of a twisted process doesn’t matter."

"Rachel said that a fortune teller told her that marrying early, the first marriage might not go well." Faye was also starting to put some belief in fate.

"But it depends on the person too. You married early, your first marriage will definitely be good." Adrian stretched out her hand, wrapping an arm around her shoulder, "As long as you endure hardships and come out sweet, everything is worth it."

He was reflecting on Rachel, and also reflecting on himself.

Faye didn’t speak anymore, just walked with him, thinking that maybe one day, at some moment, she’d recall everything.

As for Adrian Lancaster, he struggled internally for a long time before finally stopping in his tracks.

As he stopped, Faye also paused, lifting her gaze to look at him.

The man’s eyes seemed to be softly aglow like starlight, "Have you remembered me? Even just a little?"

Faye furrowed her brow, "That’s not important, what’s important is that I am right by your side."

He reached out, gently drawing her into his arms, then embraced her tightly. Yes, none of that was important!

What mattered was, she was back, back by his side...

Faye inhaled the unique fragrance emanating from him, slowly lifting her hand to hug him.

Adrian felt her acceptance and hugged her tighter, "Faye, no matter if you remember me or not, I will always be the person in this world who loves you the most, you must remember that."

"I want to visit The Fairy Tale Nook. When do you have time?" she asked softly in his embrace, shifting the topic.

Adrian’s heart skipped a beat, she even remembered The Fairy Tale Nook? Yet she hadn’t remembered him as her husband??

Boohoo! How disheartening!

Releasing her, he took her shoulder with his broad hand, "Now, do you want to go?"

Now?

Actually, recently, she had been sleeping late; it wasn’t even eight o’clock yet.

Without waiting for her agreement, Adrian wrapped an arm around her shoulder, leading her toward the Lamborghini.

Opening the car door, he helped her into the passenger seat and leaned in to buckle her seat belt.

Adrian happily returned to the driver’s seat, quickly starting the car.

Faye turned her eyes to look at his handsome profile, such strong execution ability? It seemed that as long as he was with her, no matter what he did, he was very happy.

On the way, neither of them spoke, the night deepened.

To ease the awkward atmosphere, Adrian played a song in the car.

The gentle melody played, relaxing and uplifting the mood.

"Did Rachel mention The Fairy Tale Nook to you? Or did you just remember it suddenly?" Adrian couldn’t help but ask as he got out of the car.

"She mentioned it."

After getting out of the car, Faye looked at the small shop by the river, with its white walls and rustic-style doors and windows.

The sign The Fairy Tale Nook glowed warmly in yellow, designed quite artistically.

Adrian put an arm around her shoulder, leading her inside.
