Chapter 383 - 382: Narrow Encounters Between Enemies

Chapter 383 - 382: Narrow Encounters Between Enemies

So it turns out Vivian Norris has been targeting her all because of Damian.

Bella Acker finally understood, "So you just want to push me to a dead end? Have you ever thought that if I were someone mentally fragile, I could be driven to destruction by you?"

"Your life or death has nothing to do with me," Vivian Norris lifted her chin, her expression dark and indifferent. "Bella Acker, don’t get too smug too soon. The tides in the entertainment industry turn quickly; today they’re in your favor, but tomorrow they might drag you to hell."

"I don’t understand the winds of the entertainment industry; I just know that if you stand tall, you need not worry about shadows. As long as I act upright, I’m not afraid of ghosts knocking on my door in the middle of the night!" Bella Acker said with a steady face, not wanting to exchange another word with her. After saying this, she was about to leave.

Vivian Norris reached out to block her path, looking at her coldly, "Bella Acker, do you think you’re so innocent, righteous, and noble?"

"I’ve never thought so," Bella Acker said with a calm face. "A good dog wouldn’t block the way. Please step aside, I need to go."

"Did you just call me a dog?" Vivian Norris squinted her eyes.

"No, I’m just saying a good dog wouldn’t block the way," Bella Acker replied. "Or are you implying that Vivi considers herself a bad dog stubbornly blocking the path?"

"Bella Acker!" Vivian Norris gritted her teeth in anger.

Recently, she had been ordered by the company to stay at home and reflect, unable to take on any jobs, practically half-benched.

Today, she finally managed to go outside to relax, only to run into Bella Acker.

If it weren’t for the shred of rationality reminding her they were in public, she would have grabbed Bella Acker’s hair and slapped her hard several times!

A rookie nobody dared to speak to her like that!

"Vivi!" Her assistant quickly stepped forward to hold Vivian Norris back, fearing she might lose her cool and hit Bella Acker, causing a scandal. If that happened, she might truly be completely benched by the company.

Vivian Norris clenched her jaw tightly, "Bella Acker, no matter how strong the public opinion, it’s nothing compared to power. There’s no way you can bring me down! Just wait and see the news in a few days."

Bella Acker frowned, "What are you up to now?"

"What? Are you scared?" Vivian Norris laughed coldly, letting go of her blocking hand and putting her sunglasses back on. "Bella Acker, this time not even Archer Quinn can save you!" With that, she strutted off with her head held high.

Bella Acker stared at her retreating figure for a long while before blurting out, "What a psychopath!"

"Who are you calling a psychopath?" Bea threw her bag over her shoulder and asked.

She had suddenly appeared behind her without a sound, giving Bella Acker a slight scare.

Bella Acker patted her chest to calm down, "Bella, you should know that scaring someone like that could scare them to death."

"Stop patting, it’s already flat, and if you keep at it, there’ll be nothing left. Then my brother will be really pitiful," Bea rolled her eyes at her.

"What... what nonsense are you talking about!" Bella Acker’s face flushed slightly, and she mumbled, "You’re as rogue as your brother."

Bea brought the topic back, "Who were you calling a psychopath just now?"

"Don’t mention it, I just ran into someone really annoying," Bella Acker pouted, "What should we do next?"

Seeing she didn’t want to elaborate, Bea didn’t push further; this kind of thing wasn’t her interest anyway.

Bea said, "Weren’t you going to buy a phone? Let’s go to the store and have a look."

"Sure, and after buying the phone we can shop around some more, I’ve been thinking of getting a pair of high heels."
