Chapter 442: Knowing Her Identity
Chapter 442: Knowing Her Identity
As soon as the manager of the management department returned and heard that June Sherman was offended and then left, she became furious, even though she didn’t cause any trouble.
Each department has different clients, and clients are essential to the performance of their respective departments.
Especially in the management department, where performance metrics are scarce, as the manager, any such incident reflects poorly on her.
After realizing it was Thea Shaw who did it, the manager stayed silent for a while.
She rubbed her forehead and called Thea into the office.
"Miss Shaw."
The manager looked at Thea, paused, and spoke politely: "I know, you are highly esteemed, and you are here with us just for a temporary break."
Given her audacity to confront a client, anyone sensible would know that Thea Shaw must have an interesting background.
Otherwise, what intern would dare to have such a big temper?
"June Sherman is not an ordinary client. You can leave when the time comes, but the management department cannot."
That’s the reason for the manager’s displeasure.
Thea acted on her impulse, but any fallout would be the management department’s problem; meanwhile, Thea could easily wash her hands of it and not take the blame.
"I know how to deal with the trouble I’ve caused."
Thea slightly lifted the corners of her lips: "Don’t worry, June won’t trouble the management department. She’s focused on me now, and before long, she might find herself in a tough spot, let alone cause any trouble."
June’s intentions turned lethal; if she made a move, Thea could ensure she spent her life behind bars.
There won’t be time to trouble anyone else then.
The manager’s heart skipped a beat; unable to secure herself?
Could June be in trouble?
Honestly, the management department manager wasn’t particularly familiar with June Sherman. They had some business interactions, and the manager remembered that June was sent over for preliminary training on company processes, but her starting point was much higher than others.
In these competitions among the second generation of affluent families, ordinary people really can’t compare.
In a few brief encounters, the manager had only remembered one thing.
June Sherman is particularly difficult to deal with.
June didn’t actually do anything; she exudes an intimidating aura that suggests she’s not someone to provoke, making even the veteran manager a bit wary of such a person.
And Thea Shaw, who dared to provoke even such a person, appeared harmless in contrast.
Looking at the smiling Thea in front of her, the manager felt a chill and could only sigh: "It’s good that you understand. I won’t say more, but Miss Shaw, please try to understand the difficulties faced by our people."
Thea replied, "Of course, I understand."
She looked at the manager and asked, "I have a question, do you know my and Aurora Sutton’s identity?"
When they joined the company, they hadn’t made their identities explicitly known, otherwise, how could Gordon Woods have dared to approach Thea with any thoughts?
His brother-in-law is the company’s general manager, but he hadn’t told her; instead, this management department manager seemed to know more.
The manager pressed her lips together and smiled wryly: "People like us, the ordinary, are not usually within your sight. To be honest, I was at a banquet once where both you and your father attended. I doubt you would have noticed."
Thea suddenly understood.
Last time, she did attend a banquet with Mr. Sutton; there were so many people there, it’s impossible to notice everyone.
The manager in the management department must have connections to appear in such a setting.
It seems she didn’t recognize Aurora Sutton, but rather recognized her.
Nodding slightly, Thea did not inquire further.
