Chapter 421: The Sky Lord (2)
Chapter 421
Raith couldn’t pinpoint the reason why the handsome face of the sky lord seemed to annoy him so much. Perhaps it was because after his reawakening recently, everything about him had changed.
His hair was white, his skin was pale and almost flawless. He was looking like an innocent youngster, starkly hiding a tremendous ounce of strength within his slender arms.
He had become a pride to himself, flawlessly handsome... or so to say until he met this young god-looking man that floated above his head.
Raith gritted his teeth, he had to remove his [force] or else the soulless could have died from the pressure – at least the weaker ones. But now he just regretted it.
’I wish I could pull him down from that height. It’s annoying to look up’
With a tremendous outpour of [force] it should be possible. Raith was not underestimating the sky lord, he just had too much faith in what [force] can do.
"I come with a simple proposal today... hand over the army of soulless to me and walk away freely, unscathed. I promise not to mark your body with wounds that will never heal..."
"Shut the fuck up"
The sky lord frowned darkly.
"What did you say to me?"
"Oh, I meant shut your stinking mouth up, your mouth odor is almost making me puke goddamn!"
The soulless as they were standing and helping themselves recover from the pressure paused, staring at each other in disbelief. Raith was not even looking at them, he didn’t care and was just going to be an ass.
’I hate him... I hate the way he is talking.’
This was the first time he was meeting someone and hating them for no reason. It was also quite sad he had to admit that the sky lord was the most handsome being he had ever encountered, maybe this was why it bothered him so much.
Raith recomposed himself and tried to appear as calm as possible. His previous cockiness was totally gone without a trace.
He swept back the bangs of his white hair, a dark grin contorting on his face.
"You came here to have the army of the soulless, didn’t you? Why not let us get to business. Come down and fight me!" He declared.
The sky lord looked at him blankly and drew a disgusted face a second later.
"Me? Fight a lowly being such as you? That’s an insult upon my moniker."
The sky lord is a multidimensional top rank player. Raith was new to the whole concept of player and for a fact had not gotten the wind of it.
But this at the very least, he understood that the person above him could possibly beat him rottenly in a battle. He also very much doubted what he knew.
There was a slight possibility that the sky lord would decide not to fight him. Raith turned his head around with a little frown.
"Just noticing it now?" Still floating, he smirked at Raith.
Raith’s frown etched deeper.
’This bastard brought an army of invisible soldiers?’
"How cowardly actually. When I first heard of you, I thought you were some big deal, I never thought you are the type that would hide behind invisible armies."
The sky lord for the first time since getting here frowned but slightly. Raith continued, seeing his expression.
"I too can’t take my time to fight someone has cowardly as you. If you will not fight me directly then I see no reason why I should fight you directly."
This was his pattern out of this situation, he was just going to play the game slickly and emerge the victor.
Since the sky lord had given him a sweet escape, he was going to use this opportunity to test out how strong the soulless can be – after that he was going to throw a few attacks at the sky lord and evaluate him better.
That first time was not enough for Raith to make a judgment of how strong the flying man could be. And he really needed to know, since there was a chance that he would be facing off with other players in the future.
The sky lord’s frown curled into a smile – making his overwhelming handsome features even shine more.
"You think any of your soldiers can stand on equal grounds with mine?"
"Of course," Raith affirmed, he turned his head around to see the soulless.
Strangely, all their faces were crestfallen. It made Raith confused... suddenly he had to hope he wasn’t wrong about what he had just said confidently.
He looked at Othorman, suddenly his faith was strengthened again. Maybe the others were not as strong but he was confident about Othorman. The dark blind man boasted of great strength even when he was casually walking.
Raith was confident of his capabilities. He had never been wrong about people before... one or two cases like that.
The sky lord slowly descended from the height he stood, the sands fluttered as his legs majestically stood on it.
His hands moved to the back, crossing over each other, a cynical smile faint on his face.
"Alright then... let’s have it." He uttered and snapped his fingers.
The sky was suddenly shrouded in the shadow of a ship, the ship sprawled towards all angle of the sky, forcing an artificial night on the soulless stronghold.
Beings in white shimmering armors floated in the sky, aided by a divine wing that fluttered gently in the wind.
All areas of their body was covered in white shards of metal that beautiofully melted into each other creating an awe-striking visage of each and every one of them.
The only part of their body that was seeable was their eyes, embedded knightly within the visor of their helmet and perhaps the pretty long hair that flowed slickly in the wind.
They began to land heavily on the ground, each one of them armed with a spear and small round shield. The last of them landed powerfully, causing spider cracks to run through the ground.
The soldier took her sword and pointed it forward, her visible eyes dancing with a powerful light.
The were intimidating and were radiating intimidating presence, Raith looked back to see how the soulless were doing. They all looked depressed and shaky, some were even beginning to move back.
Of course, the bounty hunting cohort stood fearlessly against the flying army. But the others were pretty much useless.
’How can they cower like that...’ Raith gritted inwardly. ’The only good thing about these lots is the fact that they are immortal’
Raith regretted thinking they were actually strong. Meat shields, that was probably the best thing they were useful for.
"Sienna!" The sky lord called proudly, "Step forward"
"Yes my lord!" A strong feminine voice sounded from the helmet of the soldier that had landed last.
She pulled her hand back, skillfully twirling her spear and hitting the bottom on the ground, then she dropped her shield and fearlessly glared into Raith’s eyes.
